Pieni Elegia (A Little Elegy) is evocative, ethereal and impressive, and is always successful in performance. Pizzicato and arco techniques are contrasted but sul ponticello and harmonic chord effects, but a modern lyricism is the overriding quality. This edition includes piano accompaniments for both solo and orchestral tuning.
