John Alexander . This is a bright and lively trio with jazz idioms and rhythms thrown in for good measure. Premiered at Bass-Fest 2001, it has much rhythmic and melodic invention, encapsulated within a classical form and framework, with striking challenges for any adventurous and open-minded trio.
